Founder & CEO
Amit is a serial entrepreneur from Fredericton, New Brunswick. His first experience in the energy sector was through a position at New Brunswick Power, conducting cost-benefit analysis. Then, after the further study of cognitive science and finance at Queen’s and operating his own business for several years, Amit moved back to New Brunswick from Toronto, Ontario. When first returning to New Brunswick, he was responsible for facilities management of the family’s commercial property holdings and identifying opportunities to increase their energy efficiency.
As a second-generation entrepreneur, Amit is building upon a 40-year business history in Fredericton by founding Naveco Power. For the company, he is responsible for securing local investment for renewable energy projects that can provide long-term social and economic benefits.
Tarek moved from Montreal to Fredericton to become Naveco Power’s Operations Director. He graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Engineering, Mining and Mineral Engineering, and has recently completed a Master’s in Engineering Economics.
He is currently developing and implementing business models that show fiscal and monetary benefits to diversifying from emitting energy sources.
Marketing & Communications
Sarah was born and raised in New Brunswick, originally from Saint John. She moved to Fredericton to complete a four year double major in Journalism and Communications at St. Thomas University.
Quickly realizing her interest in the world of digital media and marketing, Sarah has pursued opportunities to further her interests by taking on previous roles in the areas of social media, and nonprofit fundraising.
Sarah now lives in Oromocto with her husband, and blue eyed Australian Shepherd, Sadie.
Business Development Manager
Oriana is Naveco Power Inc.’s current Business Development Manager. She is originally from Venezuela, and came to Fredericton to attend St. Thomas University. She completed a double major in International Relations and Economics with a concentration in Business.
Apart from her academics, she was the President and Co-Founder of the Enactus UNB Fredericton, a social entrepreneurship team, and a Resident Advisor on St. Thomas campus. She loves getting involved with people, new ideas and anything challenging. Her main passion is to use entrepreneurial action to ignite social change.
Mariah was born and raised in New Brunswick, moving to Fredericton from Darlings
Island. She attended St. Francis Xavier University to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in interdisciplinary studies in Aquatic Resources with Public Policy and Social Research.
She then went on to further her education by enrolling in the University of New Brunswick, where she graduated with a Master of Environmental Management
Paolo was born and raised in Ontario, moving from Pickering to Fredericton. He attended the University of New Brunswick, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in 2019.
Indigenous Sustainable Development Associate
Angel Ward is a Mi’gmag woman in business; deeply rooted to her community the Micmacs of Gesgapegiag all while ensuring her values align with sustainable development within First Nations communities.
Angel graduated with a Bachelor of Busines Administration from the University of New Brunswick with an Honours in Accounting, concentration in Finance. She is has completed year one of the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) program. She possesses a First Nation Business Certificate from University of New Brunswick. Other certifications include: AFOA Financial Analysis of Financial Statement certifications: Sage Accounting Software training, Martin Foundation Entrepreneurship facilitator training.
In the past she was a Board of Director for the Atlantic Aboriginal Financial Officers Association of Canada and has facilitated Financial Literacy training to both secondary students and elected leadership. She is certified as a Technician in Aboriginal Economic Development through the CANDO, and previously sat on the National Board as the Director for Quebec.
Olinda Diaz del Valle

Olinda Diaz del Valle moved to New Brunswick in 2016 from Tegucigalpa, Honduras. She’s in her fourth year at St. Thomas University studying for an honour in Economics, major in Communications and Public Policy, and a minor in Business and Mathematics. Olinda is part of an international non-profit organization, Enactus UNB, which is dedicated to inspiring students to improve the world through entrepreneurial action.
Chief Barking Officer
Sadie is a Miniature Australian Shepherd who works mostly from home as the official Chief Barking Officer (CBO.) This is her first job at three years old, and she’s already loving the attention (but mostly the treats.) When she’s not coming up with clean energy ideas, Sadie likes long walks in the park, baths, and the vacuum cleaner.
